Old West Shepherds is currently focused on developing our breeding line through females, and do not house any stud dogs at the moment. However, we have access to some high quality studs that are owned by people with whom we train our dogs. This allows us to choose the right stud for the right female to produce great litters. Below are some of the stud dogs we have used or will use in future breedings.

Capone von der Vogel Haus

Capone is an elite sport dog and wonderful family dog. Owned and trained by Karmen Byrd, Capone has done it all, completing his Sch3 at an early age. He has since moved on to other pursuits including personal protection, therapy work, rock diving, and more. Capone is a product of Karmen's breeding lines that produced some phenomenal dogs including Capone's father, Andante Von Der Vogel Haus.

Gustav V Vikar Wildsau

Gustav is an excellent producer of working dogs. Owned by Peggy Sue Walker of German Shepherd Security, he has progeny that serve as police K9's including in the Special Operations Unit of the Michigan State Police. Gustav is a dark sable GSD with rich pigmentation that produces some sharp looking pups. Both of Gustav's parents are European imports. His sire is 100% DDR East German import Iltis v Wildsau, SchH3, IPO3,KKL1. His dam is Czech import, Garri v Vikar SVV2. A well-balanced dog, Gustav has a calm and sure temperament that is passed down to his pups.

Igor von haus Cimmerian

Igor is solid black GSD owned by Tammie Coleson (Loyal Heart GSD). Igor is from Czech working lines, primarily the famous z Pohranicni Straze kennel. This kennel bred dogs soley for the purpose of working to securing the Czech borders. The meticulous breeding program resulted in bloodlines that remain among the best in German Shepherd working dogs. Igor is a proven producer of pups with good working ability, excellent hips, and sound temperament. Igor is a great match for our dam Sascha with whom she has been bred previously with stunning results.
